EQ Assessment Form Δ
This assessment is designed to help you reflect on your understanding of emotional intelligence and identify areas for personal growth and development.
There are no penalties for selecting "Not Sure." In fact, every "Not Sure" response represents an opportunity to learn something new about emotional intelligence.
Please answer the questions as honestly as possible.
Assessment
For each statement, select Yes, No, or Not Sure.
1. Can high levels of empathy ever result in poorer decision-making?

4. If a person's perception of a situation is inaccurate, can their emotional response still be valid?
5. Can a person accurately recognise emotions in others while consistently misunderstanding their own emotions?
6. A manager believes they are treating all employees equally. Is it possible for employees to experience the manager differently despite the manager's intentions?

13. Can an emotionally intelligent decision sometimes be unpopular?
14. If a person frequently says, "I am just being honest," can they still be demonstrating low emotional intelligence?
15. Can a workplace have highly skilled employees but still perform poorly due to low emotional intelligence?

17. Can emotional intelligence improve a person's ability to identify manipulation?
18. Can a person's strongest emotional reaction reveal more about their underlying beliefs than about the event itself?
19. Is it possible for someone to be emotionally aware but emotionally unskilled?
20. Can a person's emotional state influence what they notice, remember, and interpret in a situation?
